Regent’s Park is the largest outdoor sports facility in Central London and the busiest public open sports ground in England.
Sports take place mostly in the northern parkland, and are centred on The Hub, a pavilion cafe with underground changing rooms, ideal for clubs and community groups and teams. It has a huge range of outdoor pitches for hire offering on a year-round basis. Winter pitch facilities include football, rugby and lacrosse, while cricket, softball and touch rugby pitches can be booked during the summer months. Belsize Park Rugby Football Club play their home games in the park.
There are an exceptional number of pitches available to book – in summer, for example, a total of 20 softball pitches, 5 cricket pitches, 3 cricket nets, 5 touch rugby and 5 rounders pitches, as well as the running track and 6 measured runs of different distances. See map. Pitches are only available on a pre-booked basis.
The Hub also offers a class-based programme for Pilates, yoga and tone & stretch sessions on a Tuesday to Saturday basis.
