Landscape maintenance contract awarded to 'Gavin Jones Ltd' & New Head of Horticulture.

Gavin Jones Ltd, part of the Nurture Group, has secured a four-year deal with The Royal Parks charity to provide landscape maintenance services at The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill.  The contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender process, began on 8 June when they replaced idverde.  Almost all the idverde staff have transferred to Gavin Jones. Stephen Packham, a regional manager with Gavin Jones is leading the team

The Royal Parks charity has also appointed Matthew Pottage as new Head of Horticulture and Landscape Strategy. Matthew was previously on the senior management of the RHS gardens at Wisley.

Royal Parks cancels Cycling Time Trials

The charity has been under immense public scrutiny in recent months following the ‘hostile media coverage’ of a controversial inquest into a pedestrian fatality on the Outer Circle in 2022 and a serious injury to a pedestrian in 2024.  As a result,  time trials for cyclists have been cancelled on June 30th and July 7th.
