Gloucester Gate Playground

This very large playground was completely rebuilt in 2019/2020 with funds that included some generous donations. As well as all the usual swings and roundabouts, it has a zip wire, multiple slides, and a large sandpit. Toilet and baby changing facilities are available, and the nearest café is on Broadwalk.

50 metres away is a climbing frame, with multiple branches and a rope net to be climbed and explored. It is built on the site of one of the original Park houses, St Katherine’s Lodge, that was bombed in WW2 and had to be demolished. The mound on which it was built can still be seen.
